Strati: The First 3D Printed Electric Car

Strati, First 3D Printed Electric Car, 3D printed car

Local Motors an Arizona-based automaker produces the first fully functional 3D printed car called "Strati" in full view of the spectators at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago that was held September 8-13, 2014. The technology opens the opportunity for other manufacturers to adopt similar methods.

The Strati was printed using a giant 3D printer. The materials used is thermoplastic and carbon fiber. It took about 44 hours of continuous printing from chassis to the body. Then once they are done, other components of the car like the windows, headlights, motor and battery were added. The assembly took two days.

When you look at it, the car looks like it can go 100mph unfortunately it can only go 40mph tops, not too bad considering it comes out from a 3d printer.

Destiny

Destiny, Destiny game, Destiny review

Destiny is a highly anticipated sci-fi video game that is now available. This will be the 1st part of an ongoing series of games. Bungie created Destiny so it's no surprise that some aspects of the game is similar to Halo.

Destiny ran beta testing 6 weeks ago for 10 days, in order to gather valuable data and feedback from games that they can then use to improve the game. The beta test was designed to test the game with a larger audience. It also allowed them to test the strain on the games servers. Beta testing also allows the consumers to test the game before buying it.

Let's go to the game itself, I like the artificial intelligence you will see enemies tries to hide and react in a realistic way when they see your character. The graphics is very impressive. I like the surface of the moon which is kind of surreal. The landscapes are amazingly done.

About the server, there were times I got disconnected and had an error codes. Thankfully, when I got reconnected the game saved my progress at the last checkpoint.

This is really a big game so the review for games likes this will take some time. There are a lot of enemy factions that you will face, and a lot of mission to complete. This is really an enjoyable game. Turn those Vex hydras into ground beef using your pulse rifle. Enjoy the game!

Destiny is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
